Lana is a final year PhD student at the Australian Institute for Machine Learning, University of Adelaide. Her background is in cognitive science and human factors which she applies to medical decision-making with AI. She investigates how AI algorithms can impact clinical expertise and decision-making, as well as the bioethics of AI integration into hospitals (alongside Dr Melissa McCradden, Director of AI at WCHN). She collaborates with Annalise.ai to investigate radiologist use of their imaging algorithms, as well as the AI research division of the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
