Dr Eva Yuen is a Research Fellow in the Quality and Patient Safety Research-Monash Health Partnership, a joint position between Monash Health and Deakin University. Eva's research is centred on person-centred communication to optimise health literacy and supportive care for people affected by cancer, including informal caregivers. Her applied research focuses on transforming lives and communities through improving the health and wellbeing of priority populations, including people living in rural and regional areas, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. She recently developed a communication skills training module for caregivers when interacting with health providers and is developing a communication e-learning package for cancer nurses to optimise culturally responsive communication with CALD patients and families.
